FlexiDry Hits the Shows

What a whirlwind couple of weeks it’s been! We packed up our FlexiDry Mobile Clotheslines and headed off to the Auckland Home Show first, followed by the NZMCA Motorhome, Caravan & Leisure Show.
Auckland was absolutely buzzing – four days of chatting, laughing, and showing off just how handy (and dare we say, stylish) a mobile clothesline can be. We had some amazing conversations with people who were genuinely excited about FlexiDry.
After four days, our feet were feeling it. New shoes are now on the shopping list (one of my favourite things to do, much to hubby’s despair – he’s already eyeing his shrinking share of wardrobe space).
One of the best parts of the show? Our site neighbours. The team from Unreal Lawns kept us entertained, you might even see one of them make an appearance in our Facebook piece from the show – legends! On the other side, we had Grace and Nicole from Sunshine Mortgages – absolute gems. If you’re in the market for mortgage advice, these ladies are well worth a chat.
The Auckland Home Show really was a smorgasbord of amazing exhibitors – from landscaping to kitchens to, yes, mobile clotheslines that make laundry just a little less of a chore. We loved being part of it and bringing FlexiDry to market in such a fun, positive way
Next up was the NZMCA Show – our first time dipping our toes into this market. We weren’t sure how well FlexiDry would fit in here, but we were pleasantly surprised. The audience was delightful, and we’re happy to say we now have a few more FlexiDry Clotheslines heading off to new homes!
We were even featured in a magazine (which we’re very grateful for) – but they didn’t chat to us directly, and as a result, the article was a little… creative. It said the FlexiDry folds up neatly to stow in a camper or caravan. Alas, no – the FlexiDry is sturdy, practical, and made for serious drying, not tucking under a bunk. (We take a caravan to the shows ourselves, but we travel with two vehicles – the clothesline isn’t squeezing in with the camp chairs anytime soon!)
Cue lots of good-natured jokes from visitors about us towing a FlexiDry behind a camper – “Well, at least the washing would dry on the way!”

One of the best parts of these shows has been hearing directly from you. The chats, the questions, the ideas – they’ve all been invaluable.
Now, just to clear the air: Our standard FlexiDry Mobile Clothesline models are not designed to fold away. And that’s very much on purpose. We’ve always put safety at the heart of our design – no risk of pinched fingers, no compromise on strength, and no chance of your washing toppling over in a gust of wind. FlexiDry is made to stand firm and do the job properly.
